Viveau, formerly known as Noordzeebanket, was founded by the passionate Elly Deurloo. As the creative mind behind the company, Elly has managed to inspire and involve more people in her passion over time. Her daughter, Eveline Elenbaas, and daughter-in-law, Mylon de Geus, were also inspired and gradually became part of the family business, working together on innovation and sustainability. This led to the start of Viveau. The name Viveau is derived from the French words "vivre" and "l'eau," reflecting the shared passion we have for the beauty of the sea and creating unique interior designs.
"The input and desires of the client make each project special" |
Elly developed a deep affection for mussels during her childhood. Her grandfather, Koos Deurloo, operated a mussel company in Tholen, where her father was also employed. She was born in the vicinity of the lively garages, where trucks brimmed with sacks of mussels, ready for transport. As a little girl, she frequently accompanied her father on rides in those immense trucks, as captured in the photograph. It was in those moments that her fascination for the refined beauty of natural elements began. |
